TigerTape™ Long Barb is manufactured in a continuous stainless strip steel and hardened to withstand the harshest climatic conditions. The strip is cold clenched around a high tensile spring steel core wire. TigerTape™ Long Barb is designed specifically for correctional facilities to present absolute maximum security.

Stainless Steel Tape

• 301 grade Austenitic 0.5mm thick(+/-0.06)
•  3/4 hard to HV370 (+/-20min).
• Tensile Strength: 1158 MPA(min).
•  Yield Strength: 760 MPA(min).
•  Australian standard AS 1449 301.

Tape Configuration

• Clusters of Barbs at 100mm centres.
• Each barb 60mm (approx) long with needle sharp points.

Recommended Spacing

Each clipped pair is tied at 300m centres giving an effective density of one loop per 150mm.

• Standard: AS 1472/1979 • Diameter: 2.5mm (+/-0.02)
• Tensile Strength: 1730-1950 MPa
• Galvanizing: Galvanized 125g/m2 (min)
